Trapstep Media (TSM)

I founded and managed Trapstep Media, a digital music brand that showcased the fusion of trap and dubstep. Grew the brand to over 90,000 followers and 40 million views by curating high-impact content, collaborating with multi-platinum artists, and building a loyal global fanbase through strategic branding and social media growth. It started off as a hobby back in High School that took off and eventually got me contracted as a content creator for Disney Digital Network/Makers Studios.

The Start

Lost

Lost by Tincup was the moment I knew I captured lighting in a bottle. My brand, Trapstep Media, started off as a result of a previous brand of my Dubstep Nation, amassing over 50K Followers. The tides of EDM were shifting and I knew I needed to pivot to a new trend emerging from within the industry: Trap Music.

Chapters

Like with any brand, I had to evolve and start a new chapter for Trapstep Media. I dedicated myself to learning greater levels of not just video editing, but different strategies to implement SEO, social listening, and market analysis.

The Ride

Trapstep Media was an experience that led me to my career path today. From starting off as a hobby to working as a content creator for Disney, I got to experience what digital marketing and branding can do to enhance one’s perception of the content they digest. As a digital marketer, this journey for Trapstep Media was a ride that I’ll never forget. I’ve taken all the lessons I’ve learned from Trapstep Media and have applied to to my career today.
